Post Op Day 1

Presley is doing well so far . . . about as well as can be expected considering the huge surgery our girl endured yesterday. We can't stop marveling at her little pink fingers and toes!!!

She is completely sedated and on a paralytic which will be continued all day and night. There is a possibility of waking her up slowly starting tomorrow, but time will tell. She is being watched closely and all of her vitals and pressures are being monitored continuously. Her body temperature is elevated, and they are using a cooling blanket to bring it down. They are watching closely for any signs of infection. They are also needing to help pace her heart until it will hopefully beat in a normal rhythm on its own. We have been told these things are common after a big surgery. The care here is so wonderful, and everyone is rooting for our girl! We decorated her room to hopefully bring a smile to her face when she wakes up!

It's so unusual to see our little spice muffin looking so quiet and calm! We miss her smile and her constant chatter! We pray we get to see our spunky spice very soon . . . but for now, rest sweet girl and let your body heal! Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

Everyone is praying for you, precious baby, and we are trusting in our faithful God!

"For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."
