Surgery Date

The "when" question for Presley's surgery has now been answered . . . Wednesday, June 21st is the day. We will arrive in Boston on June 17th, and Presley will have pre-op procedures all day on Monday, June 19th. She will undergo an MRI with anesthesia on Tuesday, June 20th. And finally, she will be admitted on the 21st for open heart surgery. We have been told to expect a 2-3 week long recovery. Although the intensity of what is to come is heavy, we look forward with great hope to the mending of our precious girl's broken heart!

"Sweet 16!"

I don't often post about our big kids, but our "original" baby girl's 16th birthday is just too post worthy not to!

God gave us the most incredible gift in this girl (young woman), and she is truly a beauty inside and out!

Everyone loves Mia, and she genuinely cares for others. Mia loves the Lord deeply and desires to continually grow in her faith. God has gifted her with an amazingly beautiful singing voice, and she uses it wholeheartedly to passionately praise His name! 

Mia is deep, discerning, and dedicated to whatever she puts her mind to. She is so much fun to be with, and her sweet, easy-going nature consistently draws others to her. She is a thoughtful encourager, a great listener, and a compassionate and empathetic friend.

I love our long talks over coffee and the fact that she openly and willingly shares her heart with me. Mia is an extremely special person and just so likeable! I can never thank our heavenly Father enough for giving me this precious daughter and best friend!

Fieldtrip Day

We set off for a fun day of adventure with a trip to the aquarium and the botanic garden. The girls were pretty excited! Lindy and Joy had been before, and they loved it! It was so fun to watch little Presley experience something for the first time!

 In awe and wonder at God's creations!

  It was super fun to see a real live Dory!

It was a beautiful day and so wonderful to spend some time outside as winter comes to a close and spring is in the air!
