Adoption Day

We arrived back at the Civil Affairs Office bright and early on Monday morning for the official adoption ceremony. Presley Lan Metzgar legally became our daughter!

After Presley stamped her handprint, she wanted to do the other one too! So cute! (Joy did the same exact thing, except for it was her foot  . . . two peas in a pod!)
There was a lot of waiting, and these three little cuties handled it all very well!
However, we did start to get a glimpse into the energy level of our little spicy girl! She is busy! She has places to go and things to do!

We passed the time by walking (strutting) up and down the hall! And of course when all else fails, mama's cell phone does the trick! We tried to snap a family picture, and little miss wiggle worm made it tricky! We finally got her to stand still for just a moment while we got a picture with the orphanage supervisor who brought her to us.

This picture is just so cute . . . Joy loving on her new sister is just the most precious thing! She can hardly keep her hands off!
We were finally done, and we headed outside for one more picture of completion!
Presley Lan is now a Metzgar!!!

Baba had his first chance to hold his girl! Precious!
We then ventured out to McDonald's for lunch (a Metzgar family adoption day tradition!) Presley ate her first Happy Meal! Pretty tasty!

And then she got her first taste of ice cream! I think her face and mine say it all!

What a happy day that we will remember forever! We love you Presley Lan!
