Everything started out fine, and they boarded the plane ready for the adventure home. Almost immediately the captain came on saying that they would be delayed 2 hours due to military air training. Bummer . . . but still okay because they had a 3 hour lay over in Korea. 2 hours turned into 3 hours, and finally they were ready to take off. However, there were some technical difficulties which led them back to the gate for another hour. So, they sat on the plane for a total of 4 hours before departing.
Of course, all of this meant that they missed their flight from Korea home! The good news is that they are safe, and the airline has treated them very well. They were given a wonderful dinner (including salmom!) and put up in a nice hotel for the night. The next flight out leaves in the afternoon, so they will now be home tomorrow late morning.
We are so bummed, yet so trusting that God is in control of all things! Our hearts just continue to grow fonder for the moment when our family will all be together!
"Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
