Here she is with her fan club right before surgery. These big bros and sis are such a blessing!
Joy's right knee bends . . . this is so amazing! To actually see her knee bend is a first in her life. And her cast is very purpley! Of course, her favorite moment in the whole thing is going home in the wagon.
This little girl continues to show such resiliency . . . we are truly in awe! She was actually excited when she woke up this morning, "just one more time!" The kids were marveling at the fact that Joy is quite the celebrity at the hospital. (We have spent quite a bit of time there!) It is so comforting to be in a familiar place and to see familiar faces. The nurses are so wonderful, and they truly now feel like family. It has been an opportunity to share our story of adoption and point to the One who has ordained it all. I had an especially good conversation with the recovery nurses today.
"Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name be the glory becaue of Your love and faithfulness." Pslam 115:1
We are so thankful to be in the home stretch. Joy's cast will come off in 4 weeks . . . let the countdown begin! For now, we will adjust to one more new cast. We will choose to stay positive. We will lift and hold and carry. And we will thank the Lord for this season in our lives.
