Fun at the Beach!

Our family spends a lot of time at the beach . . . it's just something we love! And now the two littlest Metzgars love it too . . .

Joy loved the beach right away, but she came home in November when it was starting to get pretty cold. Then she spent almost 5 months in a spica cast . . . so no beach. What a thrill to see her play in the sand and water in a "babing suit" as she would say.

Lindy, on the other hand, did not love the beach right away. The first time her feet touched the sand, it was just too much for our sensitive little girl. It took 3 times, and then the urge to play with the other kids got the best of her. Before we knew it, she was standing, then sitting, and finally playing in the sand. Amazing! We are so thankful! She then decided that she was ready for the water. Both girls got out on the surfboards yesterday for the first time . . . such fun! Now we have two more little surfer girls!

Joy went out with Daddy . . .

 

. . . loving it! But our tiny one gets cold pretty quickly even in the warmer temperatures . . . so then she had had enough and came in to play with Mommy.

 

Lindy surprised us by jumping right on the board with Mia . . . she never hesitated. Off they went!

 

 



And it was all smiles . . . she simply loved it!

Then it was Daddy's turn . . . this girl had the time of her life! She did not want to come in!

 

What a blessing to live near the coast and enjoy God's beautiful creation! There's just something about the ocean that makes us rise up and worship our Creator!
