Mountain Adventure!

We took a trip up to the mountains this past weekend with my sister's family. They invited us to join them on their trek up to Arrowhead where our brother in law's parents live. We were hoping for some snow, but instead we had warm, sunny weather. Oh well . . . the mountain air was still a bit chilly, and we all bundled up as we spent the evening singing worship songs around the fire. It is always such a treat to take our little girls on new adventures to do things they have never experienced before. Joy was so excited to go to the "mountains"! The whole way up she kept asking, "Where are the mountains?" She didn't quite realize that we were "in the mountains". We created such fun memories, and we look forward to joining the Lefebvres again sometime soon  . . . maybe we'll get to go back to see the snow!

Happy 6 Months Home, Lindy!

Our little Lindy has been home with us for 6 months today! That feels like a milestone to celebrate! She is doing so well, and it feels as if she has always been a Metzgar. Half a year is a relatively short amount of time, yet it is enough time to see the difference a family makes. Lindy is one of us, and she knows it. She knows she is dearly loved and accepted, and she comfortably and freely loves and accepts us in return. She has developed deep relationships with people she met only 6 short months ago. She fits in so perfectly . . .  only God can receive the glory for doing that! She has filled the "Lindy sized hole" that only she could fill. We praise God for bringing this precious daughter into our family!
